Florian Wirtz, a player for Bayer Leverkusen, is someone Bayern Munich is eager to lure to the Allianz Arena next summer, but the German powerhouses will have fierce competition from Real Madrid and Manchester City.

One of Europe’s most promising prospects, the 21-year-old has advanced quickly since making his Bundesliga champions 2020 debut.

The midfield player’s significance to Leverkusen was highlighted last season when Xabi Alonso’s squad won both the German league and cup. In 49 appearances, Wirtz assisted on 20 goals and scored 18 goals himself.

The German international was being watched by a number of teams during the summer transfer window, despite having a contract at the BayArena until 2027, but the 21-year-old decided to stay with Leverkusen.

In 2025, Bayern Munich is prepared to move for Florian Wirtz, a target for Man City.
Given that Wirtz may decide to leave Bayer Leverkusen in 2025, Bayern Munich has shown interest in the German midfield player.

Maximilian Koch claims that the 21-year-old’s managers at Bayern are eager to get him to Munich before the 2025–2026 season. The top players in the nation have always been on the roster of the German powerhouses, and Wirtz is no exception.

The young player is expected to cost the Bundesliga powerhouses about €100 million, not the €150 million that Leverkusen is requesting.

The reporter also acknowledges that Real Madrid is a contender for Wirtz, which might present a challenge for Bayern Munich considering the La Liga team’s standing in the standings and the caliber of their current roster.

Man City is also extremely likely to enter the competition because the Bayer Leverkusen player would be the ideal successor to Kevin De Bruyne, who is anticipated to depart the Premier League winners at the end of the current campaign due to contract expiration.
