When the transfer market reopens in the new year, Nottingham Forest is reportedly aiming to recruit Galatasaray attacker Barış Alper Yılmaz. This information comes from an allegation in the Turkish media.
This summer, the Turkish international was rumored to be making an offer to join the Premier League team.
The 24-year-old is the subject of Forest’s transfer target, according to a report published by Haber Aktuel today. The English team has an agreement with Galatasaray to sign the winger in January.
Gala is rumored to be seeking a sizable bid to offload one of their most valuable assets, and it seems likely that the player will go for at least €20 million. According to recent sources, Nottingham Forest made an offer of €25 million before to the deadline that ended last month.
In the recent transfer window, Yılmaz was also linked to West Ham United and Liverpool as a result of his national team’s Euro 2024 performances. The player’s agent is said to have had discussions with the two Premier League clubs.
Last season, he started 28 Super League games and scored seven goals. Galatasaray has Yılmaz under contract until June 2027.
