During the band’s most recent performance at SoFi Stadium, Williams relaxed and enjoyed herself with other ardent followers.

When September is over, don’t wake her up! The highlight of the day is Serena Williams having a wild time at Green Day’s performance in Los Angeles this past weekend.

A stone’s throw from the stage at SoFi Stadium, home of the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers, is where fans can be seen dancing with Williams, dressed in an on-trend all-black outfit, during a show on the band’s most recent world tour. The tour is also commemorating the 30th and 20th anniversaries of their well-known albums Dookie and American Idiot. The video was shared to X, formerly Twitter, over the weekend. The recognizable voice of Green Day’s main vocalist, Billie Joe Armstrong, can be heard in the background of the video, which went viral online.

Following the performance, Armstrong disclosed

In an Instagram post following the performance, Armstrong referred to the show as “triumphant,” and Williams’ comment stuck out amid hundreds of others.

She wrote, “Love you, Billie!!!!!!”

For many years, Williams has been one of the most well-known supporters of Green Day, referring to the foursome as her all-time favorite musical group on multiple occasions. She “crushed” a TikTok challenge about the band’s greatest songs last year, naming each song as it was played one after the other. And in February, after being personally invited by Armstrong to the Beverly Hilton’s invitation-only pre-Grammy party, she introduced the band to music executive Clive Davis.

Williams added in her opening remarks, “Truly, to know me is to know my love for them,” according to a Forbes story from the glamorous occasion.
