Chicho Arango suspended for violating MLS’s anti-harassment policy
Chicho Arango, the Real Salt Lake captain and MLS’s leading scorer with 17 goals, has been suspended for three matches and next week’s MLS All-Star Game for violating MLS’s anti-harassment policy.
RSL said in a statement that it “has fully cooperated with Major League Soccer’s investigation and accepts the disciplinary decision.” No details on the violation were immediately released.
RSL sits in a three-way tie on points for the Western Conference lead with LAFC and the LA Galaxy. Arango’s influence on and off the field has been credited for RSL’s success.
The Colombian has 11 assists in addition to his 17 goals in his first full season in Utah. He returned to MLS in the middle of the 2023 season from Pachuca, where he spent the 2023 Clausura after helping LAFC win MLS Cup 2022.

ST. LOUIS — Less than a year after being named a coach of the year finalist, St. Louis CITY SC has parted ways with head coach Bradley Carnell, the team announced Monday.
The team said Technical Director John Hackworth will manage the team on an interim basis while the team searches for a new head coach.
CITY has struggled to follow up on the success of its first season. After failing to hold on to a two-goal lead on Saturday in Vancouver, the team fell to 3-7-10 on the season. They are in 12th place in the 14-team Western Conference and nine points out of the final playoff spot.
