AC/DC to make their huge announcement on Monday morning
They’ve started a countdown timer
After teasing fans with a 23-second video yesterday (6th February), AC/DC have now started a countdown to their big announcement.
Widely expected to be the confirmation of 2024 live shows and perhaps new music, the timer on AC/DC’s official website is counting down to 8am GMT on Monday 12th February 2024.
Alongside the countdown timer, there’s a call to sign up to AC/DC’s mailing list for more information.
On social media, AC/DC have posted another teaser clip – this time featuring the number 5, presumably pointing towards the fact it’s five days until the big reveal
Although the notoriously secretive AC/DC camp have stayed quiet about their future activities since their live comeback at Power Trip festival, a German mayor let slip in November that AC/DC are touring Europe in 2024.
Dieter Reiter, the mayor of Munich, told Bayerischer Rundfunk reporter Mathias Flasskamp that AC/DC will perform a concert at Munich’s Olympiastadion on Wednesday 12th June 2024.
Rieter apparently let details of the concert slip at a council meeting, and he remarked to Flasskamp afterwards: “I didn’t know it was supposed to be a secret.”
In recent weeks, it’s been rumoured that AC/DC are also playing shows in South America this year along with speculation that bassist Cliff Williams won’t be joining them on their 2024 trek.
