After Vols’ offer, four-star running back set to attend Tennessee camp
A four-star Class of 2026 running back from Georgia who recently picked up an offer from Tennessee is set to return to Knoxville this weekend
Carsyn Baker visited Tennessee for the first time in early April to attend one of the Vols’ spring practices, and he picked up a scholarship offer from them a little more than two weeks ago. He’s now ready to make the trip to Knoxville again.
The four-star Class of 2026 running back from Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, Ga., posted on his X account that he’s scheduled to return to Tennessee on Saturday. His visit will allow him to participate in the Vols’ elite camp Saturday evening inside Neyland Stadium.
“Back at Rocky Top this weekend for Night at Neyland!! #GBO,” Baker posted, along with a pair of orange emojis. He also tagged Tennessee coach Josh Heupel, first-year running backs coach De’Rail Sims, offensive assistant Aston Walter and defensive scouting coordinator Steven Ruzic in the post in which he announced that he was planning to visit the Vols again for Saturday’s camp.
Baker is a four-star prospect in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, where he’s ranked the No. 308 overall player and No. 28 running back in the 2026 class. He’s rated a three-star prospect by 247Sports, where he’s ranked the No. 19 running back in the 2026 class and the No. 25 rising junior from the state of Georgia.
He has received scholarship offers from more than 20 schools, including Auburn, Kentucky, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Texas A&M. He also holds offers from N.C. State, Kansas State, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, UCF and Memphis, among others.
Tennessee hosted Baker for the first time on April 1, just nine days after Ole Miss gave him his first SEC offer. The Vols extended an offer to him on May 15, and he didn’t wait long to set up another trip to Knoxville, this time to work out with Tennessee’s coaches on the field during Saturday’s camp.
His stock has continued to rise over the past few months. He has added 14 of his offers since March 21, and he has racked up 10 offers within the past month.
Baker posted on his X account in March that he had been timed at 10.65 seconds in the 100 meters during a track meet. He burst onto the scene as a freshman by rushing for 619 yards and eight touchdowns. As a sophomore, he appeared in nine games and ran for 303 yards and three touchdowns on just 31 carries, averaging 9.8 yards per attempt. He finished as the team’s fourth-leading rusher while splitting carries with three seniors.
South Carolina, Ole Miss and Alabama hosted him on visits in April in addition to Tennessee. After heading to Knoxville on April 1, he visited the Gamecocks on April 4 and Ole Miss on April 6. He traveled to Alabama, which has yet to extend an offer to him, on April 11.
