Golden Knights defenseman Nicolas Hague is out for Game 2; Stars will utilise the same lineup as Game 1
Hague left Game 1 early Monday with an undisclosed ailment.
Golden Knights coach Bruce Cassidy confirmed Wednesday afternoon that defenseman Nicolas Hague will miss Wednesday night’s Game 2 of the first-round series between the Stars and the Golden Knights due to a lower-body injury.
Hague was hurt in the third period of Monday’s Game 1 and left shortly after Mason Marchment scored Dallas’ third goal of the night at 11:46.
Hague is on Vegas’ third defensive pair, and Alec Martinez replaced him during Wednesday’s morning skate. Hague had two goals and ten assists in 73 games this season, and he had one assist in last year’s postseason series against Dallas.
Stars coach Pete DeBoer has also announced his lineup for Wednesday night. Dallas will dress the same 20 players as the previous game. Craig Smith, Ty Dellandrea, and Derrick Pouliot are the healthy scratches, while Jani Hakanpää is still ailing.
