Howard Stern terminates ties with’sexist’ Bill Maher after ‘nutty’ attack of radio host’s marriage.
“I think I’m no longer friends with him,” the 69-year-old declared Tuesday on “The Howard Stern Show.”

The revelation occurred after Maher claimed on a recent episode of his “Club Random” podcast that Howard’s public declaration of love for Beth was a “dig” at the broadcaster’s first wife, Alison Berns.

“[Howard] goes on about how much he loves his wife, Beth, which he has been doing on the air for, like, 10 years,” Maher, who has never been married, explained.

“But we know Howard had this other wife before Beth.”

Howard continued to slam Maher on his radio show Tuesday, telling listeners that it was “a sexist thing” to say, “convoluted” and “nutty.” “It’s assuming that he knows something about my first marriage. That, of course, the man must be leaving the woman and the woman must be devastated and be sitting around pining away for her famous man,” he said, warning Maher that he “ought to shut” his mouth.

“I mean, I don’t think I come on the air every day and say, ‘I love my wife.’ But I thought it was a pretty positive message, to – especially with my audience – to say to guys, ‘Instead of, like, ragging on our wives, how about talking about that we appreciate them and love them?’”

Howard further argued that Maher is trying to make it seem like he was “the slightly immoral one” for settling down.

Howard tied the knot with Berns in 1978. They called it quits in 2000 – the same year the radio host met his current wife.

He said “I do” to Beth in 2008 and has been declaring his love for her publicly ever since. The lovebirds are set to celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary next month.

In his rant Tuesday, Howard also revealed that he sent Maher a sarcastic email, asking the “Politically Incorrect” host to give him feedback on his love live, seeing as he seemed so “worried” about it.

“I wrote in an email, I said, ‘Why don’t you give me a phone call? Why don’t you tell me what you think about my life and my marriage.’ But of course, he never wrote me back,” he shared.

“I just wanted to see how brave he was,” he continued. “If he was brave enough to call me and actually get on the phone with me and zero response. I don’t care, though. He can think what he wants.”
