TCU Horned Frogs Announce Departure Of Three Top Stars As They Already Make Plans To Find Better Replacements

Sonny Dykes, TCU’s head football coach, has announced the acquisition of eight transfers who joined the programme last month.
Since December’s Signing Day, TCU has added 40 scholarship recruits, including 21 high school signees and 19 transfers. Twenty-four of the forty newcomers are on campus and will participate in spring practice, which begins March 25.

The following are TCU’s eight newcomers who committed to the programme after the December signing period.

After the 2022 and 2023 seasons, he received second-team All-Mountain West recognition. Named San Diego State’s Best Offensive Lineman in 2023. He started 11 games and played every snap as a left guard. In 2022, he started 12 games at left guard before missing the bowl game due to an injury. The team allowed no sacks and only six quarterback pressures in 367 passing attempts this season. According to Pro Football Focus, his 82.4 pass block rating ranked second in the Mountain West among offensive linemen and first among MW guards with at least 300 pass chances. He started his career by playing two seasons (2020-21) at Oklahoma State.

At Utah, he started 29 games out of 47 total. As a Ute, I recorded 126 tackles, including 5.5 for loss, 11 passes defensed, an interception, and fumble recovery. In 2020, he got All-Pac 12 honours. In 2023’s win over Florida, he recorded a season-high eight tackles, including one for loss. In the 2022 season, he made a season-high five stops against Penn State in the Rose Bowl.

Honourable Mention: All-Sun Belt Conference in 2023… Started all 13 games as a cornerback and kickoff returner. In Old Dominion’s 27-24 loss against Wake Forest, the player became the fifth in FBS history to return both an interception (66 yards) and a fumble (80 yards) for touchdowns. With four fumble recoveries, they share the Sun Belt lead. Finished sixth on ODU with 59 tackles… In 2022, he garnered Phil Steele All-Sun Belt honours as a kick returner, and in 2021, he was named Conference USA Honourable Mention for his 29.4-yard average, ranking ninth nationally. One of just two athletes in the nation with two kickoff returns for scores. Had a 100-yard return against Louisiana Tech and subsequently became the first player in ODU history to return the game’s opener.
