Lewis Hamilton discusses Angela Cullen’s return to motorsport.
Angela Cullen, Lewis Hamilton’s former physio and assistant, now works with IndyCar driver Marcus Armstrong. Lewis shares his thoughts on her return to motorsport.
Lewis Hamilton’s seven-year professional relationship with his physiotherapist and general right-hand woman came to an end in 2023.
She returned to motorsport earlier this year, alongside fellow New Zealander Marcus Armstrong, an IndyCar driver.
Lewis Hamilton was asked ahead of the Miami Grand Prix why he believes Angela wants to return to the sport.
“I think she’s a healer,” the Briton stated.
“She is a positive person. Her objective is to spread love to everyone she meets, which she accomplishes.
“She’s also an avid sports fan. And I believe she is thoroughly loving it. In a different setting, yet still racing.
“And I believe it was during her stay here that she developed such a strong interest in racing. So, once you’ve caught the bug, I believe it’s difficult to get rid of. So why should she? She belongs in this sport.
“And yeah, she’s definitely very, very happy right now,” Hamilton finished.
