TCU’s Prince to be Sidelined With Injury TCU’s Sedona Prince suffered a hand injury, the team announced on Saturday. The injury occurred during the 23rd-ranked Horned Frogs’ game at No. 6 Baylor on Wednesday.
Prince is expected to return to the court before the end of the season. Prince is averaging 21.2 points and 10.6 rebounds per game this season and is tied for second nationally in double-doubles (10).
She is the only player in the country averaging at least 20 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks per game this season. Prince has twice been honored as Big 12 Player of the Week.
Prince was the centerpiece of a historic start to the 2023-24 campaign. The 6-7 center helped TCU (14-1, 1-1 Big 12) run the table in nonconference play for the first time ever and achieve its earliest AP Top 25 ranking in 13 seasons.
The Horned Frogs’ 14 straight wins to begin the year was the longest winning streak to start a season in the history of TCU men’s and women’s basketball. TCU faces Oklahoma State (8-5, 1-1 Big 12) at 4 p.m. on Saturday in Schollmaier Arena.
